The Man Behind the Voice
My name is Ronald Clarkson. I want to be the voice for your next project - whether it's audio books, radio, television, movies, internet, PowerPoint presentations, virtual tours, museum exhibits, video games, live events or anything else with sound. I provide voice and audio production services. Though I am based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area I have done voice work in New York, LA and several places in between. One sheets are available for download from my "Contact Me" page.
In 2012 I completed two projects that will be introduced in early 2013. I am introducing my first audio book titles with the prolific author Henry Epps, Jr. on Audible.com, iTunes and Amazon. I narrated his two volume series, "Great African American Men in America's History." We are both excited and we're already in discussions about working together on other titles.
While we're on books, go to scopeyourdate.com and listen to the promo. I was able to provide voice and other consultant services on this project that helps protect many people from predators. It was authored by a concerned mother and activist, Tayarisha Joyce.
Also for 2013, I've arranged to work with the Network for Non-Formal Education Institutions in Kenya. A Christian based organization that is seeking to make education available to the children of Kenya. Check out this piece running on Kenyan television and available on YouTube:
You can see another interesting video where my voice is featured, a virtual tour of the future home of the Church Without Walls in Houston, Texas. Once you are there click on The Vision. You will hear me at 2'46".
Also in 2012, I branched out into government projects and did a radio spot for the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development. Then I did a TV spot for the DC Department of Housing and Community Development where the audio was also used to make a radio spot. All were used in mutlimedia campaigns that ran for several weeks in the major media markets of Baltimore and the Washington metropolitan area.
I've been doing voice overs since 2004. In the spirit of keeping it real, I could try to impress you with a list of company voiceover projects or live announcer events that I've worked.
I could post a bunch of well known logos, but after several years in this business I know that's not why you're here.
Well, if your looking for a deep, authoritative, sometimes gravelly, African American, non-accented, occasionally urban, straight forward or big/dynamic, voice of reason, news anchor, announcer, or mellow conversational voice - then your in the right place. To hear if the recording will be clean, go to my demos page.
Let's save us both some time, I may be black but I don't do "x" rated scripts, ebonics or violent gangsters (not a commentary on anyone else who does, that's just not me or who I am).
Thanks for stopping by!
